After a notably light winter in terms of snow accumulation on the East Coast, early March has gifted us with a couple of decent storms already. We were actually riding our mountain the same morning that the NY Times was onsite putting together this little bit. It was packed. I warmed up quickly that morning and turned to slush moguls almost immediately. Disheartened by both the crowds and rapidly deteriorating conditions, B suggested that we go home, grill some burgers, then make some tracks on our own little hill with the back country board.
