The marathon was especially exciting this year because an American woman won for the first time since 1977. It was also cool because I was able to reconnect with a couple of my friends from high school (one is in the last two photos below). For consistency’s sake, we watched the race from the exact same spot as last year. The photo above is almost identical to the one from last year, haha. The whole thing makes me very stoked to run Philly later this month.

Mid-July Recap
Visits by family, Coney Island and The Whitney; not a bad little weekend.
Memorial Day Weekend
Meant to post this crap already. Anyway, here are some more snaps of Gpoint. Not hating it here.
New Hood, New Good
We got all domestic recently and moved to Brooklyn. It is a massive adjustment for me. But, I’m surviving. Life is mostly better over here in every aspect, except when I have to leave Brooklyn. Unfortunately, that is every day. I’m definitely feeling the pain of the Robert Moses legacy. Anyway, here are a couple of random shots of from the weekend when I wasn’t dodging rain.
De La Weekend: NYC Marathon Edition
Sunday morning we had the pleasure of soaking in the energy of the NYC Marathon. Whether I’m running or watching, this race gets me every time. We posted up along the course in Brooklyn to cheer for our friends who were running (and for everyone else). The weather could not have been much better.
Indian Larry’s
I stopped by the Indian Larry’s rally in N. Williamsburg on Saturday. There were a lot of really cool custom builds. I snapped a few that I thought were the most eye catching. I’m blown away by the attention to detail that goes into some of these bikes. It is probably because I usually don’t pay attention to non-sport bikes. But I could definitely appreciate the craftsmanship that was employed on these builds.
Staying Sane
Welp, B is in China. I’m going a little nuts w/o her here. Have tried very hard to keep myself busy. Weekend is not even over yet. Put together this little gem tho. I slapped a gopro onto the underside of Trixie’s handlebars for a Saturday ride across the Brooklyn Bridge. Apologies for my fat face starting into the lens in the beginning. It gets “good” if you can make it past the elevator. If you have 5 spare mins, enjoy.
De La Weekend
A little Manhattan, a little Brooklyn.
We were at a House of VANS event, and saw a new take on the now-ubiquitous party photo booth. Instead of a static image (or even a phhhoto style .gif), there was an array of cameras setup for a matrix style gif. The outfit manning the booth was A-1 Array. The result is below–
